Lots has been taking place the past month. First off, I started my new job with Craven Smart Start as the Infant Toddler Specialist. I am really enjoying it so far but have been a tad bit overwhelmed with all the information I have been learning. Everyone I work with keeps informing me that I shouldn't get stressed about it and that it will take me about a year to really get the hang of it. Hopefully the year of learning will go by easily. Last Friday I recieved my first SALARY paycheck and was treated by my hubby with dinner at one of the seafood restaurants on the Neause River. It was nice to be able to enjoy a nice meal and eachother's company! Yesterday I recieved my first ever business card which I am so very proud of! I definitely cannot wait to show it off! :)
Now on to baby stuff...last Friday, I had an appointment for my one hour glucose tolerance test, which I unfourtanetly failed! So, I had to make an appointment for the three hour test which I had this morning. I was instructed to fast after midnight the night before (no food or drink) until after the test was over, which was around noon. It definitely wore me out! The first hour was not too bad. I walked around Target before coming back to get my finger pricked. However, the second and third hour was where I crashed. I was starving, had an awful headache and could barely keep my eyes open. I was extremely pleased to find out at the end of this terrible experience that I passed with flying colors and do not have gestational diabetes. Woohoo.
This week Wesley and I were also able to see baby again during the 3D/4D ultrasound experience, which was absolutley amazing! It was so cool to be able to see baby Dorman's face and his little chubby cheeks. It was extemely neat to be able to see and feel him kick at the same time. This definitely made baby seem even more real and may have Wesley and I beginning to decide on a name for his sweet face. However, we still aren't telling! :)
I cannot wait to meet this little guy! I think the last two months are going to test my patience. All I can think about is holding him and kissing his little face!
